This interesting Land Rover was registered on 12th January 1961.
Chassis number the details below is a home market 88" petrol specification from the factory and was supplied in mid grey.
This is the much rarer Series 2 rather than 2a.
Last on the road in 2014.
Will be MOT exempt in May of this year and is already Tax exempt.
Up to date V5 document is present.
It starts instantly on the button and the engine sounds sweet.
Drives well down the road and the brakes work fine.
Gearbox selects well and the clutch is good.
For an MOT it will need an outrigger and some new side and indicator lights on the front. Chassis seems to be sound in other areas.
This is a great project that can be got back on the road in a short space of time and then improved over time if you want to.
The Harvey Frost crane all works as it should and can be easily removed if you want to use the Land Rover as a pickup.
Will be great to take to shows as no one else will have one!!
