The man who I bought this engine from was toying with the idea of making a V16 by joining two of these together. I have the other engine as well on ebay.
He made bespoke pallets for both of them to safely carry them about.
I was told that this engine was a runner but I don't know how long ago it ran. The engine is free and it turns over nicely.
There is no gearbox, just the plate that the torque converter bolts to. These engines were only ever fitted to the Daimler Majestic Major and they all had automatic gearboxes. I don't know if the 4. 5 engine will fit the bell housing of a 2. 5 V8 gearbox. You would probably have to adapt something to make it fit.
All the auxiliary components shown in the pictures come with the engine. It has been dry stored for a long time and is now outside but sheeted down.
