Chassis number 24139698G
Will be MOT exempt in May but comes with a new 12 month MOT.
Road Tax exempt
This is a rare late 2a with the lights in the wings and the maltese grille
I would class this as a useable rolling restoration ie you can use it immediately and improve as you want to.
It has Rocky mountain aluminium door tops which will last forever (new price £400 but currently not available!)
Lasalle full headlining so no condensation problems.
Bench seats in the rear.
Lots of new parts over the last five years incl new fuel tank and sender unit, fuel pump, prop shafts, uprated distributor, recent brake overhaul along with new steering arms and rod ends. The swivels were replaced about 3 years ago along with the rear exhaust box, it also has a servo on the brakes which make them very effective.
The petrol 2286 engine goes very well. The head gasket was replaced 5 years ago.
The gearbox is good in all gears. Reverse is noisy but works fine.
Clutch feels fine.
The original chassis is sound and has had various repairs over the years as you would expect and the rear crossmember is good.
The bulkhead is sound but would benefit from work on the drivers door pillar and footwell in the future.
All the doors lock which is unusual!
Exhaust is good apart from blowing from the manifold gasket (new front pipe supplied ready to fit)
Full length roof rack fitted.
The bodywork is hand painted but looks fine to me!
This will make a very rewarding project that can be used immediately for kids/ logging/ dogs etc.
Can be viewed off Junc 14 M4 Near Hungerford Berkshire
Transport can be arranged throughout the UK and beyond!
