We have just taken this exceptional car in part exchange against a Citroen SM.
Body
The body and chassis on this car appear to be devoid of any corrosion whatsoever. The sides are arrow straight and shut lines are thin and even all round. The colour is Gris Espadon , a curious hue of grey with hints of green under some light which particularly suits the understated and sophisticated style of the model. The paintwork on the car is excellent – mostly original with one or two blemishes here and there from use. The glass, lighting and exterior trim are very good and undamaged. Overall the car makes a striking first impression as one would expect from such a low mile, low owner example.
Interior
Exceptional. Super sharp throughout and, barring the headlining which has been replaced to an excellent standard, everything is original and in a near factory-fresh condition. The driving experience of the CX GTI Turbo is like nothing else – even more comfortable and refined than the DS or SM and with bags of linear torque with surprisingly little turbo-lag considering the era the car hails from.
Mechanicals
This car has been continuously maintained from new. Within the history file there is a letter dated 2008 from the supplying dealer to the then owner confirming the mileage to be genuine and that the vehicle was continuously maintained by them from new until 2008. After that, the car was looked after by the CX Centre and marque specialist Brodie Engineering with invoices to back this up.
Coupling this with the low mileage the car drives perfectly and needs for nothing.

Summary
Being one of just 23 on UK roads today, this has got to be one of if not the very best original example around. Being the successor to the SM, the CX GTI Turbo is at the top of the CX range and is underappreciated in the current market, über comfortable and stylish motoring for little money.
