XJS 4. 0 Auto – Total Photographic Restoration
Milestones are delighted to offer this superb Jaguar XJS that was the subject of a full, no expense spared, body and mechanical restoration during 2003/ 04 by the previous owner with just 20, 000 miles covered since.
Work included,
· All panels removed including front wings, doors, rear quarters etc
· ALL corrosion removed
· Replacement rear wings/ buttresses
· Face-lift (twin) headlamps
· High quality resprayed in metallic red -
· Later AJ6 4. 0 litre engine to give better driving/ economy
· Mechanical components replaced including brakes, radiator, heater matrix etc.
· New interior including leather seats, carpets, headlining and Elm dash/ console
The restoration company estimates that today the work would cost in excess of £30, 000 to replicate with an additional £6, 000 for the interior – it is the most comprehensive rebuild we have ever seen on an XJS
Supplied new by W. W. Webber Ltd, Basingstoke the XJS has had just 7 previous owners from new. The service book has twenty one stamps (main dealer and Jaguar specialists) with MOT’s since 1999 and the history file contains lots of invoices plus photographs of the restoration.
The XJS has been undervalued for years and the price of good quality cars have risen sharply over the last 12 months. We recommend early viewing in order to fully appreciate this unique example.
