EXTERIOR
The White exterior paint is in lovely condition for a vehicle of this age. There is some age-related patina on the body, but nothing unsightly or needing attention. There is more of an “aged” look to the paintwork. The paintwork is lovely and clear, with the white still shining brightly and crisp looking. As this car is not show-standard, it makes using it very enjoyable and this example still turns heads wherever it goes.
INTERIOR
The Black Vinyl is in lovely condition throughout, with minimal wear to be found. The carpet, trim, switches are in great condition. The dashboard and centre console are also in equally fine condition.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This Spitfire MK3 is powered by the 1, 147cc unit, mated a manual gearbox. The car drives and performs as one should expect it to and there are no unusual knocks, or noises to be heard. The clutch and gearbox work as they should and the car drives very nicely.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 13-inch wire-spoke wheels are in lovely condition and are shod in a set of tyres all with good tread.
HISTORY
This Spitfire MK3 was first registered in September 1970 and comes with receipts and invoices from over the years. MOTs date back to 1998 and invoices from 1996 are present in the file. It is believed that the mileage is correct, backed up by the invoices and previous MOTs. There are also photographs of the car, showing a restoration occurring in the 1990s that was done to a high standard. This car is ready to be enjoyed on our roads.
