In Chariot red with a black interior and a black hood.
Registered on the 15th March 1962 in North London according to the Buff log book in the history file, this very late, matching numbers, MK11 Roadster stayed in the same family until it was acquired in a sorry state by a local, time served, engineer in 1978 and registered to him in 1983.
A full chassis up restoration began in 1995. The body was stripped and sent off to a restoration shop who repaired areas with new metal where required and used new panels where the necessary. There are invoices covering this work. The chassis was restored and built up with new steering, braking and suspension components where needed. The engine was rebuilt and an unleaded cylinder head fitted, the gearbox was stripped and overhauled and the wire wheels were restored and fitted with new tyres although the wheels have since been replaced with brand new, painted wire wheels.
The body was reunited with the chassis and new floorboards went in along with new interior trim, carpets, seats and wiring. The hood and sidescreens were renewed and new bumpers and other chrome items went on. The project was completed in 2001.
The MGA remains in beautiful condition having been cherished by the man who built it! It now has a stainless steel exhaust, a new petrol tank, seatbelts, a battery immobiliser and an electric engine fan. Electronic ignition is also fitted as well as a chrome luggage rack, a spotlight and radio although we wouldn't like to guarantee is efficacy!
A lovely, rust free, matching numbers, MGA roadster in the right colour and driving beautifully.
