Enjoyed by the last owner since 2012, this Elan Special Equipment is an older restoration on a genuine Lotus galvanised chassis.
The bodywork remains in very good order with just a couple of minor blemishes, and the paintwork is clean and tidy. The original dashboard is still fitted to the car and is in excellent condition as are the door cards and carpets. There is a little wear to the driver's seat and a couple of cracks on the dash top.
Electric windows are fitted and the specification includes drilled and grooved disc brakes, adjustable shock absorbers all round, a Kenlowe electric engine fan, CV joint conversion, Stromberg carburettors, electronic ignition and an immaculate mohair hood. In 2009 the engine was rebuilt and the timing chain replaced.
There is a history file going back over twenty years showing ongoing maintenance and care along with MOT certificates.
A very nice, usable Elan which has had only six owners since new.
