The TC was the first MG sports car to roll out of the Abingdon workshops after World War 2. Thanks to the hurried development to return to civilian manufacturing, the company didn't quite have the time to design a new motor. As a result, the first post-war cars still bore a striking resemblance to pre-war cars, which became more of an asset than a hindrance. 

As American servicemen made their way home, they brought a TC with them. They were so irrevocably British and charming that they felt remarkably fashionable. Besides that, the nimble chassis and characterful XPAG engine made them fun to drive, easy to learn and often quite easy to look after. 

This 1949 example has been in the current owner's care since 2015 and has benefited from considerable attention during that time. It is described as retaining its original XPAG engine, number 9176, which has been continually updated and improved over the years. The bodywork has been completely resprayed, while the interior has been retrimmed. Woodhead Monroe telescopic shock absorbers have been fitted, and the car has been recently serviced. It's now ready and waiting for its lucky new keeper.
