1966 SWB Porsche 912, requiring engine rebuild
This car was in regular use up until a few weeks ago, when it developed a bottom end rattle. Subsequent strip down and inspection has revealed worn crank bearings and the engine now needs rebuilding.
Good condition, but with microblisters to the paintwork in places. The underside appears sound, but would benefit from reapplication of the original protective underseal, which is peeling. Jacking points, kidney bowls and rear torsion bar area etc... all in good order.
The car was originally delivered to Culver City Porsche in July of ‘66, the engine is the factory original and the original colour was Polo Red
Comes fitted with driving lights, original Fuchs alloys, Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio and recently reupholstered original seats etc... Comes complete with an extensive history folder and photographic records, covering both its time in the UK as well as a previous life in Finland.
Unusual opportunity to purchase a decent car that needs isolated repair, rather than general restoration. Viewing very welcome, free cup of reasonably good coffee included. Ideal opportunity for the mechanically minded, ideal candidate for EV conversion, though we'd rather you didn't.
