The Citroën DS are front engine, front-wheel drive executive cars manufactured and marketed by Citroën from 1955 to 1975 in sedan/ fastback, wagon/ estate and convertible body configurations, across three series.
This particular car was imported to Ireland by its previous owner in 2021, who sourced it from Victory Classic cars in Holland. This car is in stunning condition, having been supplied to Holland from new. It comes with its original owners manual in Dutch, and even the accessories for changing the tyres are present. These are rare to find with the car, as they are usually missing. Finished in a very fetching grey with white roof, it is only surpassed by the magnificent ruby red velour interior. There are no tears or marks on any of the interior door panels, headlining, seats or carpets, and if you have ever owned a Citroen, you will understand how comfortable they are. Everything on this car is working as it should, and the suspension system is faultless and smooth. It is a manual 4 speed version, with column shift, that slides through the gears with no effort. This lovely lady has a gas conversion kit fitted also, and this works perfectly with no deterioration in performance, and with the prices of petrol at present, it may be a useful option to have. These are a rare find, and a great investment for the future, but more importantly, they are a stunning design, and have been been described as cars that were 40 years ahead of their time.
