This bike has recently undergone extensive restoration and is in immaculate condition and at this price there is the opportunity to add value onto it. This bike starts and drives well after addressing a few issues such as the carb needed re-built, the ignition coil replaced and new condenser. Great opportunity to own a 53 year old bike that not only looks well but functions well too. I would love to keep the bike as it belonged to my father and I’ve put a lot of time and money into it myself, however I’ve got another project on the go that I am unable to fund. For more details of all the work completed and for further info on the condition of the bike or any enquiries give me a message.

Owned since 1979, it’s tax and mot exempt and comes with the original tax book. It sat in a garage for 30 years or so untouched. 2 years ago I decided to pull in out, strip it down and gave it a new lease of life. I work full time as a classic car restorer so you can rest assured that it’s been done to a high standard.

The original body is in good shape and has had a complete re-spray however a couple of original parts were beyond repair and had to be replaced. The chrome front guard was badly rusted and so I decided to sand blast it and painted it with a very expensive paint which gives a fantastic chrome effect as you can see in the pictures. Paint is starting to flake off the fuel tank around the filler cap so it could do with a fresh coat of paint, if you plan on completing the bike with the chrome side plating then a respray of the tank would be necessary anyway. The bike is completely rust-free. At the time of advertising the brake light and indicators are not working, I believe it could be faulty bulbs or potentially the worst case scenario being a wiring loom issue - not my area of expertise. It’s had a new chrome exhaust fitted as the old one was knackered. New set of tyres on it. New rubber hand grips. New kickstart lever. New brake rubbers. New chrome headlight surround.

Original leather seat has cleaned up well, however there is one very small tear in it.

The bike is mechanically sound, the engine only has 14, 000 miles on it so a strip down of the engine was not necessary. There were carburettor issues which have now been resolved after a complete rebuild of the carb so new jets/ needles etc. Engine starts and ticks over nicely. Brakes are working perfectly too. Fresh oil in it too. It does about 60mpg so it’s great for a wee road trip.
