Re advertised after removing from sale over the Christmas and new year period due to family matters. This interceptor is one of a kind, thought to be the only non JIA R or S conversion with the bespoke new interior. I have owned the car since 2010 having purchased it from Cropredy Bridge where it was due to be used as a Donor for an Interceptor R. As purchased it was in running order in blue with a grey vinyl roof. After years of on/ off restoration I finally put her on the road in 2020 and have only covered 500 miles since, original speedo available showing approx 120k. The reality is I have not had time to use her along with my others cars and due to living in the countryside it is always very much Weather dependent, I do however just love looking at her. Time has however come to let someone else enjoy. I can say that I saved another one, and did own my Childhood poster car. The paintwork is in deep blue metallic with old English Tan interior and black carpets. She is in beautiful condition both inside and out, the Engine bay and under the car are also very good. This is a one off car and done to my specification, I am a car designer and have worked with JIA to create the new look, the interior is therefore my design, again it has a twist, as unlike the R and S models it has mostly original switchgear/ controls. The speedo and rev counter however are new but again totally bespoke. These are smaller than the originals to fit into the new binnacle surround, however they have the same appearance other than a digital miles display.

The electrical system is as per the original, the facia harness was a new item but as per original. The auxiliary dials are all new gauges that were calibrated from the originals. The main Rev and speedo are highly bespoke and the only ones in existence. They are the same visual design as the originals but smaller to fit the new cowl, they also contain a very discrete digital millimetre. I have the original dials to go with the car. All switches are original spec and work, like everything else. The headlights are new but as per the old design i. e. not LED. The taillights are original. The radio is a new retro style unit with integrated CD, USB and Bluetooth, connected to an electric aerial. The A/ C is all there but just needs set-up by a professional- estimated around £700. Drives as these cars do, Less roll due to the spax dampers. no overheating issues as its had all the required cooling pack upgrades. The top roll leather is a little loose in places, me being picky, its a case of removing and rebonding the leather cover, I may end up getting this done before sale

JIA facia upgrade worth in excess of £20, 000

Most of the cars history dates from my ownership, I have some papers from before this. The whole restoration process has been covered and all photographs will be available. The car was stripped back to metal and the following panels replaced with Martin Robey parts. Front n/ s door outer, n/ s rear quarter panel, o/ s rear wheel arch, drivers and passengers floor. As you cannot buy the tailgates, which rot badly, I had the whole tailgate lower remanufactured by hand and to avoid the same issue happening again the brightwork holes around the tailgate have been welded up and the brightwork bonded on, this has given a much cleaner appearance and no worries of rot again in the future. The surface and paint process was undertaken by a professional supplier over a period of 4 wks. It is now painted in a Jaguar Loire Blue Metallic. The sills have been wax injected. All the exterior brightwork has been re-chromed by Derby plating. Wheels are fully refurbished to original specification and fitted with new tyres.
Mechanically JIA assisted with the clean up and installation, this included the upgraded cooling pack, new discs and calipers, Spax dampers, stainless steel exhausts, refurbished leaf springs. New wiring harness. The engine bay looks very clean and smart, as does the whole of the underside
The interior is fully re-trimmed in Old English Tan leather, this includes, headlining, visors, pillar caps, door casings and quarters which also are new substrates, seats, facia and console is the JIA R/ S design but with its own bespoke detailing for carryover parts. The car has had all new sound deadening with new Rejen carpets. Finally a new Mota Lita steering wheel finishes of a beautiful interior. The boot is also fully re-trimmed.
If I was keeping her the things I would want to do over time are have the aircon set-up (did not bother at the time as it was going to delay getting her on the road) The n/ s front wing to front panel lead has cracked a little. some trim on the top roll needs re-bonding

It could be an ideal candidate for a lower cost conversion to an R/ S spec if not purchased as is. This is a car that has a great deal of time and money spent, while not a concours car it could win shows and is a usable Classic. With greater interest in Jensens these days values are climbing nicely.
