This 1974 Jensen Interceptor MkIII represents the perfect fusion of transatlantic motoring character — a hand-built British grand tourer, powered by Chrysler’s legendary 440ci V8, and styled by the famed Italian design house Carrozzeria Touring.
The Interceptor is an elegant, commanding presence on the road, equally at home on a winding coastal drive or a weekend concours lawn.
Built in December 1971, finished in Red with a Black Interior and Red Piping, this example is from the sought-after MkIII range, which brought significant refinements over its predecessors — including improved ride comfort, better interior appointments, and revised bumpers to meet US standards.
The MkIII also featured standard alloy wheels, air conditioning, and a more robust cooling system.
This particular MkIII has been kept well maintained and used sparingly by its current owner, with an extensive file of invoices recording maintenance work that has been carried out, going back over 50 years. The car has recently been received and inspected by Cropredy Bridge Cars. We can confirm that it is in a very sound condition and runs exceptionally well.
