A cherished & well
Looked after car over the years…unfortunately due to my dad’s passing away…the car is being moved on. The Engine is sweet as a nut.. drives impeccably for it’s age…never gone short of anything…unfortunately due to my dad not being able to drive, the car has been garage bound. Overall the bodywork is excellent…. The rear arches ( as pictured ) are need of some tlc…there car is out of mot…but since the previous test it hasn’t hardly done any miles - therefore should require very little or anything? Over the years I’ve had to place an isolator switch on the battery - as it was loosing charge…May be a simple wiring fault needs addressing ? Once the isolator is activated / deactivated over a long period of time - the battery keeps charge no problem ( short usage no need to implement )
Anyone knowing these cars / models - the interior dash mileage does fade & reappear…this is well known issue - as I’ve owned several E36’s over the years & I found one in two have been the same. From past experience I’ve found once the car is warm & being used frequently they do correct themselves & reappear on a constant basis. There’s lots of history with this car & to look at it internally / externally it would pass as just coming off the assembly line due to its overall condition. This is a very reluctant sale…as I owned / ran the car myself before handing over to my late dad…the engine & gearbox are very much sought after due to their bulletproof reliability - M41 engine chain driven…originally Isuzu engineered…more than capable of achieving 40mpg. I have over thirty years experience within the motor trade & I’m very much a BMW fan…. I’ve owned over fifteen different models since a young age…I have to say this has been very much one of my favourites. I know this car like the back of my hand. I’d like to think the car will be passed on to a collector as a minor project or somebody who is willing to input some beloved time & tlc & enjoy some beloved time out on the road…I recently drove the car for several miles on private land - I felt I could have driven to the bottom end of the country & back without missing a beat.
