1958 JAGUAR XK150 3. 4 Roadster

This elegant XK150 roadster was produced in 1958 as a left hand drive model that was exported to the United States for the first owner. The original colour was ‘Cotswold Blue’. The car remained in the States until the early 90’s where it was fitted with a new engine. The car was imported back to the UK and underwent a conversion to right hand drive as it is today.
The car was also stripped back to bare metal and repainted in ‘Old English White’ and has remained the same until today. The paintwork is in extremely good condition considering the time that has past with only the slightest areas of corrosion caused by a stone chip as opposed to any corrosion to the main bodywork or shell.
The car was then purchased by the current owner in 2000 and has been cherished ever since, dry stored and enjoyed on sunny days. The car made a return to the United States in 2007 to take part in an enjoyable, month long coast to coast event before returning the UK.
The car is fitted with the glorious 3. 4 litre straight six engine and now features an upgraded 5 speed all synchro gearbox that is light and easy to use with smooth gear shifts. The car drives beautifully and is more than comfortable being used on a variety of roads and speeds.
The interior is in lovely condition with the seats having been retrimmed in the past and showing no signs of wear.
The car underwent a full check over by Marque specialists Twyford Moors earlier this year where among others, suspension and steering components were replaced and serviced.
The car is presented today as an eminently usable classic. It would not be classed as a concours winner and there are some areas of pitting to the chrome details but the car presents extremely well and is ready to be enjoyed for the Summer.
