Hello and thank you for looking at my advert for this 1996 155 v6, make a cuppa sit down and have a good read.
I had my first taste of 155s in 2001 when i bought a twinny which i took to the nurburg ring. Well that created an itch an itch in the form of a track car with the fabulous busso v6 in it.
I bought this from a fellow 155 enthusiast in 2006, we were members of a great community on alfa155. org.
The next 18 months i took it completely apart and rebuilt it replacing most parts as a matter of course and parts specifically to make it more at home on the track rather than a road car.
What followed were many years of great org club meets and track days. I really wouldnt have had the same experience any where else other than on Alfa155. org.
In 2015 i took her of the road for a couple of reasons one i was being made redundant (which i chose) and also for phase 2 which was to take the engine out and give it a rebuild with more power in mind. I knew she would be off the road for quite a while as i paid my mortgage off and had to start from scratch.
Unfortunately in late 2016 something happened which meant me packing in work to stay at home. The engine rebuild didnt happen and Since then my 155 has been gathering dust... i run it up to temp now and again and turn it around on my drive. This year i have changed the coolant and done the oil and filter.
It is very much a project and needs money spending on it that said floor pan still looks solid so is the boot area. a couple of year ago i had the drivers side rear wing off to check for rust, no welding was needed.
A tiny part where the bumper hanger sits near the fuel filler had to be cut out. a small bracket was then made to carry the bumper hanger.
The paint work is ok for an old red alfa it has plenty of marks / dings and scratches but still looks half decent from a few feet away.
The driving experience it provides on track is second to none, for a fwd v6 it is well balanced and handles so neutrally .. it goes exactly where you point it and if you know the sound of an alfa v6 you will know it sings.
On some of my track days i have been lucky enough to be taken round tracks in much more powerful / quicker cars than my alfa but i can honestly say they mostly were quite boring.

It has been used as a road legal track car, but the long game was always to make it a full on track car and not use it on the road.
Do i want to sell ... not really but i have to be realistic i probably wont get to see my version of it finished.
The price is just a number i had to think of, i have spent way more on it and am open to having talks about selling it.
If you havent already run a track car you will need deep pockets.
Could it be made more compliant for the road and mot`ed again .. yes. but thats not something i would want to do. For me that would be undoing all the good work and progress.

Theres no mot on it and from memory mot history check will show a mileage discrepancy. i have a few instrument binnacles and have swapped them about over the years. Since its initial rebuild in 2006/ 7 it hasnt done over 30, 000miles.
So wheel bearings trailing arm bearings and so on shouldnt have much of wear on them.

So after all that i suppose i should let you know the spec.
ENGINE. 2. 5 12V
shultz tubular ex manifolds and front pipes mated to a tony banks exhaust with sports cat. magnecor plug leads. 156 24v fuel rails and fuel pump. rolling road showed 170hp and 222nm this was before the fuel system upgrade. i still have the print out.
Gearbox 156 six speed with quaife atb diff.
The standard ratios in the 156 box really suit the 12v engine. it gives much better acceleration and this car tops out at 125mph

Suspension,
Koni adjustable shocks.
lowering springs, whiteline extra heavy duty rear arb with heavy duty front arb, fully poly bushed. this set up as well as some weight saving gives the car its neutral handling.
Brakes.
Fiat coupe turbo 305mm front discs with gtv 916 v6 brembo 4 pot calipers directly mounted on gtv v6 stub axles.
rear brakes standard . ABS system has been removed and no brake
compensator. Removing the compensator is a must even on a road car.
Wheels were special order x5 so theres a full size spare .
Team dynamics pro race 1. 2 .
17 x7. 5 to fit 215 wide tyres.
Silverstone rear spoiler.
Theres more, 916 gtv v6 front subframe, i had yet to add the stiffening plates which bolt to the chassis but are included.
no rear seats and the battery is in the rear.
This 155 is about 100kg lighter than a standard one. You could go further with this. photo 12 added 24/ 8/ 23 plus a short video on youtube
Alfa 155 v6 start up.

Lots of receipts/ history.. If you want to watch some old track footage on youtube you can by typing in alfa 155 v6 at oulton park ... also mallory / cadwell / blyton.
Theres quite a few spare parts i have gathered over the years too.
A couple of the pictures are from quite a while ago but most that are pictured with the car on my drive are recent, just being honest.

I may be interested in a swap , i do like late 90s mercs. esp ones with the m112 v6. w202 w210 w208.
Hope you have enjoyed it and thanks again .
