This Stag was owned by previous owner for 20 years, by a 80 year old chap, always garaged in this time. 1972 K red , historic class , no mot required although was motd last month and every previous year , ULEZ free and congestion free , no road tax either , happy days.
Paint work is in VGC in my opinion , best i have seen at this asking price .
It has a blister scab on passenger door about the size of a 50p coin , apparrenty its been there since he bought it 20 years ago, and some other marks above bottom of door bottom
Seats are all good apart from a split on driver side bolster , about 4 inches, rest are vgc, foams are too.
Door cards are fine , Burr walnut dash.
Engine is original, has had the trouble free webber carb kit fitted with chrome pancake air filter, electronic ignition , no leaks from engine or gearbox thai can see.
Ive topped up auto gearbox and had coolant flushed and added correct blue antifreeze.
Oil is newish and clear , not sure when changed.
Speedo is eratic , oil pressure is great 40 psi @ 2000rpm at 50mph.
Temp gauge stays left of middle on gauge even before i changed coolant.
Soft top was replaced 10 years ago, frames works ok.
I have a brand new rear interior quarter panel , as existing is not vgc, from Aldridge trimmers, not fitted. Rear seats perfect, as is other seats , apart from split on drivers seat, foams all good.
Stag alloys in vgc. spare is a Stag alloy also.
tyres are 2009, I would replace if I was keeping it.
Car was mot April 2023 and has been every year going back to 2013 on GOV. UK.
Drives well 40- 50 psi @ 2000rpm on motorway , no noises from diff or suspension , just a clunk when selecting reverse apparently this is of the norm , google it.
Have hard top also in fair condition on top and inside, but I only noticed when I was storing it , the bottom area at rear under window frame is rusty . New boot floor spare wheel covers ordered.
Electric windows work perfect and puddle lamps on doors, roof bar light too , but ones on gearbox tunnel , dont.
New HT ignition leads and plugs with new fuel filter also.
Has a modern stereo fitted,
Brake fluid resevoir is newish.
Chrome is in good condition.
Over all car is priced fairly at what i believe is market value.
Only selling as I have been offered a manual gearbox Stag.
Price reduced, for very quick quick sale to £10k ONO. i wont be replacing the tyres though .
