Matchless G80 CS, 1960, The motorcycle is a resurrection and has been built to resemble a 'street scrambler'. The frame, swinging arm and forks were found discarded many years ago. The frame number is confirmed as a 1960 G80CS by the AJS Matchless Owners Club (I have the certification). The frame, swinging arm and forks were stripped and powder coated and new bearings etc fitted. The engine and gearbox were obtained from a well known AMC restorer (pre '65 scrambler) fully rebuilt with new parts as required and fitted with 'Scrambles Cams'. New or NOS parts were bought as required. The alternator/ regulator have been arranged to provide a 12 volt electrics and the bike has LED bulbs. The speedometer has been completely overhauled, accounting for the very low mileage which is accurate from the completion of the bike. The DVLA issued an age related registration having seen the AJS/ Matchless certification. The reason for a reluctant sale is a health issue which developed last year.
