1931 Austin 7 - Ulster rep
Reduced price
Original 1931 short chassis with matching numbers engine, 3 speed gearbox and long nose banjo rear axle.
Started life as a tourer. Is documented on the Austin 7 archives to have been PC Sweets car in Z cars. Was stored from 1967 to 2018 when it was taken apart by a previous owner. Over the last 9 months I have rebuilt it and bought many new parts from various specialist suppliers.
The wheels have been refurbished by Tudor wheels with brand new tyres fitted. All 19” with the Austin script on the Hub. Also comes with a matching spare. The interior has been trimmed by Simon Laxton.
Has correct ulster lowered front suspension, shorter radiator, lowered steering box housing, DK4A distributor with mechanical advance, 1 1/ 4 SU carb, hand made exhaust, new clutch, release bearing changed to 4 speed, new brake cables, new brake shoe linings, new suspension bushes all round, new shock absorber friction plates, new motometer, new rev counter and new oil pressure gauge.
The engine, gearbox and rear axle have been apart, inspected and resealed and new parts added were required. The oil pump pick up has been lengthened to accommodate the deeper sump pan.
It’s such a fun little car and whoever buys it it’s going to enjoy it just as much as I have.
I am also happy to deliver it to its next owner
