The MK2 Mini is perhaps one of the greatest automotive achievements in history. Intended as a classic car of 51 yrs old , easy-to-maintain as all restored to new , it’s a car that has been brought back to a new life of restoration to its famous colour of mustard yellow , it achieved all of that and more - soon becoming famous for their sporting potential and success on the track. They were successful in every territory, even in the USA - where big old land-liners like the Cadillac were king, the Mini still found its place.
This is an example of an early 1275cc Mini Clubman 1275GT perhaps the most desirable of the entire second generation of its Brother the Cooper S. Presented in good running order, I have no doubt this will make for a highly long lasting car for many more years to come if it’s looked after properly after this full restoration 10 yrs ago, all new built engine with very low kilometres , a whole new interior rebuild of Cream leather to go with its original colour, I have the original steering wheel (but no center emblem of 1275gt) it got lost, I also have the 1275GT sticker that goes at the bottom bit of the doors despite its rarity, it’s still a Mini - and thus easy to get to work on! It’s an amazing drive and it really goes when you put the metal to the pedal VaavaavoomI’ve had this car for over 20 yrs in which it came all the way from France to Portugal, I actually made a swap for it with a 1977 Ford Escort RS2000 in which the guy that swapped it with me has actually totalled the escort and I restored mine
