"My Toyota is fantastic": this was the official advertising slogan of the historic Japanese brand Toyota, which experienced its maximum expansion in the 1970s. Reliability was already known and proven, the only problem could be represented by rust. This Corolla Wagon, delivered new in Sweden, has stood the test of time unscathed, thanks in part to the Dinitrol anti-rust treatment applied when it was new. Still mostly in factory first paint, the interior is virtually pristine with a very small damage to the top of the dashboard and two very small spots on the driver's seat.
Technically worthy of a Toyota, it is sold in fully functional condition and regularly serviced by the Motorizzazione Civile of Milan in 2022. Rear shock absorbers and wheel bearings have been replaced, brakes completely overhauled, Dunlop tires have just been fitted. Some Swedish and German (second ownership) service reports are still present and show a total real mileage of only 91604km. The car is also complete with its tool kit, all company documentation and double keys.
Simply fantastic to drive, it seems to be on a real sports car especially as regards the very low driving position, vertical steering wheel, gear lever a foot away from it and strictly rear-wheel drive. The maneuverability of the gear lever is incredibly sharp, short and direct and luckly there is no room left for any distractions inside, as the car has no modifications… in the American style. Here you drive, full stop.
Completely disappeared from the streets of the whole world, it is now impossible to find in these conditions of absolute originality and unique color combination.

According to Toyota: "Corolla is the ring of petals around the central part of a flower. The name was intended to evoke the image of a compact car (4. 050 m long and 1. 570 m wide) and at the same time aggressive and captivating style".
The rare third generation Corolla 5-door estate was presented on 04/ 26/ 1974 and remained in production until August 1979. This Corolla fortunately features the 4-speed manual transmission as standard equipment in the 1200 model, but was available also the 3-speed automatic for DeLuxe versions like this one.
Maximum payload is approximately 400 kg (882 lbs) with 2 passengers and 200 kg (441 lbs) with 5 passengers. The rear suspension is leaf spring. Toyota updated the safety features on this version, using resilient sheet material on the instrument cluster and retractable 3-point seat belts.
