Description
'The Blue Lady', as the car is known, is possibly the best P1 fully restored example around and features a radio and heater. A prize winner in good rally condition. A huge history file comes with it and all its former owners are listed. It was originally restored in and around 2000 and used sporadically by the owner until he passed on. The car changed hands in 2018 when the new owner replaced the radiator, relined the brakes and more, including the front shock absorbers and various other things. I have owned the car for two years and have rebuilt the interior, replaced the floor, relined the boot and many other things. Some £4, 000 has been spent on the paint work professionally. All the chrome-work has been rechromed at a cost of over £2, 500, including the grill. It has been featured in the Allard Owners Club magazine, of which the current owner is the editor. The car is admired wherever it goes and this is a rare chance to purchase a good example that stands out in the crowd. It is for sale simply because the current owner has just purchased another Allard project and needs the room.
