Description
PROVISIONALLY SOLD!
For sale is my 1971 Meyers Manx Beach buggy. This Buggy has been spared no expense, having been fully nut and bolt restored. It is officially certified and registered with Meyers in California, having been sourced from the official Meyers Manx distributor which was flatlands engineering in the UK. It’s now very hard to source an official Meyers Manx in the UK, and this must rank as one of the best. The buggy is correctly registered on the V5 document and is tax exempt. Complete with a folder full of all documentation relating to the build and restoration.
The buggy has covered less than 1000 miles since going back on the road in 2018 (if checking the MOT history the new Speedo was read incorrectly in 2018, should be 17, 887)In my opinion an orange buggy is the ultimate colour to have, and I was fortunate enough to obtain a genuine Manx in orange! The engine is a recon 1641cc with twin Weber ICT carbs and a custom Mike Hausman stainless sidewinder exhaust to give that traditional buggy rasp! Working Toward the front of the car, the chassis is finished in beautiful black gloss paint (it’s even shiny underneath) With custom touches such as an internal brake line and internal high flow fuel pipe. The chassis right height is fully adjustable, with adjustable rear spring plates, and an adjustable height front suspension beam. All fasteners are stainless steel, or zinc plated steel where appropriate. The custom interior is finished in Ivory vinyl to complement the beautiful gloss orange gel coat bodywork. The roll bar is polished stainless steel, With a deactivated colour-coded hand grenade as a talking point! The steering Wheel is an original 60s beetle unit with a new old stock indicator/ flasher stalk to keep it uncluttered, and the EMPI trigger shifter is topped off with a NASCAR anniversary Hurst shift knob. The switches and ignition key are hidden below the dash on the drop-down custom fuse panel. A custom-made anodized aluminum speedo bezel and bespoke Tamiya logo car mats complete the interior.
To complete the 60’s look the car is fitted with imported firestone vintage tires, wide steel wheels, genuine Meyers Manx license plate surrounds and it’s Meyers Manx badges front and rear. The car has had a Meyers Manx license plate support bracket made for the rear in polished stainless steel as this is a part that has not been available for a long time, and is a worthwhile addition to any Manx. Please contact me to discuss the large amount of custom features that this Buggy has that may be of interest to you. If you’re looking for the ultimate show winning Beach Buggy, this surely must rank is one of the best.
