Description
An original UK registered T160 with matching numbers and first registered in 1977. This T160 is one of the last of 100 built, with low number of owners it has clearly been well cared for. The frame/ engine prefix is CN so built in March 1976 the last month of build and also stamped HC (high compression).
Very standard and original with Dunlop rims and factory labels (even has the tripometer label on the speedo), although the silencers have been replaced with Campbells. It has not been restored just loved and presents very well with 16, 847 miles stated which I believe to be correct. It has a good history file complete with a list of owners, MOT’s and receipts all in a folder. Also has the owners handbook and workshop manual.
Had a Hyde head rebuild 1000 miles ago. I did around 160 miles last summer it has a light clutch, positive gear changes, starts well on the electric start, pulls well with no smoke and sounds like a triple should!
I had a trident back in 1973 and had to scratch the itch with a T160 and I have enjoyed it immensely, its a very endearing bike – they are only original once!
