Very rare, low mileage Honda Prelude 4th generation 2. 3i automatic 4-Wheel Steer, in extremely good condition for its year – in the best colour of Turquoise Green.
I bought this car over 10 years ago from a mature lady who had used it for almost all its life as her second car – it had been garaged every night. Since then I've used it now and then, but it's been dry stored and carefully maintained.
If you've ever driven a low mileage Prelude 4G, you'll know they're gorgeous to drive – super light and manoeuvrable with pin-sharp steering. The electronic 4-wheel steering adds amazing handling and turn-in, flat cornering even at how speeds, and a better turning circle than the original Mini!
This car has been very well looked after, and treasured by me. I used it for annual trips to Munich during the middle of the last decade – where it would get to stretch its legs on the Autobahn, and it was hugely impressive in this role. A really comfy long distance cruiser, with superb handling on the back roads and legendary bullet-proof reliability. This was from the golden age of Honda and the same design team as the NSX. Mechanically excellent, the Honda H23 engine has had oil & filter changes every 3, 000 miles in my ownership. Four excellent Continental tyres, with beautiful Japanese-style refurbed polished alloys, 4-wheel 4WS alignment done at a Honda specialist.
Recent autobox fluid change, coolant change, power steering fluid change, brake fluid change, battery. New factory Honda front disc brakes and pads. Drives absolutely faultlessly. Original Honda stereo radio cassette works perfectly, but electric aerial needs sorting. Original electro-fluorescent dashboard works just as it should, and is the desirable 'facelift' version.
Generally excellent body with paint matching on all panels, but rear arches are starting to bubble very slightly (see pictures). Superb interior, and overall the car is in extremely good condition. Fully working remote alarm/ immobiliser, never been near a boy racer! 12 months MOT, with no advisories.
