For sale is my rare and low mileage Mazda MX5 MK1 Eunos V-Special Roadster. This is an exceptional example in fantastic condition from the outside to its mechanicals internally. Low mileage at 59k (or 96k in KM). British Racing Green bodywork with tan leather interior, giving a classic look with all the modern features expected of a high-spec JDM model. MOT until Dec 2023 and no advisories, I highly recommend any potential buyer to view the MOT history of this vehicle to fully appreciate its clean and genuine condition. Absolutely no rust or any corrosion issues at all with the bodywork, sills or arches. Good service history, maintenance receipts and original Japanese owner’s documentation are included.
Only 2 former owners on the logbook, the car was stored in a heated garage by its previous owner who kept it for 19 years.
Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition. The steering is precise, there are no usual noises from the gearbox and the gear changes are smooth. The engine runs and idles nicely, no tappet noise or other issues which can sometimes happen. The engine bay is very tidy, there are no oil leaks and it all looks very original. The suspension components are clean on the underside and all function well to give the car a very comfortable ride. For peace of mind to any new buyer, the cambelt and water-pump have been replaced less than 1, 000 miles ago. The car sits on its original set of Mazda Eunos Daisy alloys which have been freshly refurbished with new tire valves and matching new tyres.
The car also comes with its short private number plate C2 OGP (valued at £1, 200) which is being included with the sale. Documentation for when this was purchased for a significant amount by its last owner is in the file along with the original number plate should the new owner wish to replace it in future. Good paperwork and service records, all previous MOTs are included along with original Japanese import and service documentation which are great for the provenance of the car.
Being a V-Special model the car comes with original Nardi interior trim and V-Special Roadster mats. The A/ C is fully working and the car has power-steering and a V-LSD as standard. The soft top roof is in excellent condition with no cracks or damage to the rear plastic window. Having a premium soft top, it has a zip-down plastic window for when the roof comes down. It’s worth noting the car also has a set of rare JDM fog lights on the front bumper, which I have seen advertised for around £250 just on their own.
In summary, this is a great investor grade or show example car, ready to drive and be enjoyed. These models are becoming increasingly rarer to find in such good condition and low mileage. This car is a very complete and original example. The car has never been welded and I’ve included pictures of the original wheel arch welds to highlight the original bodywork condition.
