The Auto Lounge are delighted to offer for sale this fantastic example of Ford's iconic muscle car! Powered by a replacement 5. 0-litre Boss 302 V8 engine block, coupled with a four-speed Toploader manual transmission. First registered in November 1970, this Mustang was imported to the UK and re-registered with the DVLA in February 2013.
The car is finished in Yellow paintwork, and rides on a set of 15-inch Magnum 500 chrome wheels, correct to the Boss 302. Inside, there is black vinyl upholstery, with the textured centre panels to the inner seats.
It features racing stripes, along with rebuilt front suspension with new poly bushes and Koni dampers, disc brakes at the front, and a Hurst gear shifter. The rear differential has been changed to a 31-spline ‘Detroit locker’ with 3. 23:1 gearing. The car is accompanied by a Marti Report confirming its status as a genuine Boss 302. The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel is free of any significant wear, though a few very small surface scratches are visible on the Hurst shifter. Some marks can also be seen on the dials below the Sony stereo.
The vendor reports that the rear plastic panels have been painted, while the headlining above has some light bubbling.
The BF Goodrich tyres are still in good condition and the car has also benefitted from a new exhaust system.
