I have owned the car for 6 years and the car has been faultless, not ever giving me a single issue. During my ownership I had the following maintenance work carried out by Porsche Specialists (all receipts available):
x4 brake pads and discs @92. 5k miles.
Both air conditioning condensers - Sep 2020
Tracking and alignment geometry @ 93. 5k miles carried out by renowned Porsche specialists Centre Gravity - as a result works carried out included front top mounts, front bump stops, track control arms, drop links, toe arms.
All brake lines replaced @ 96k miles

I have loved owning this car but as you can see from the history, I simply do not drive her enough and decided now is the time to sell. Mechanically the car must be up there with the best of them available, but cosmetically the car is beginning to show signs of the 20 year age. By no means a scruffy example, I'm just a realistic and honest seller. The car has no record of the IMS bearing being replaced, a risk I was happy to live with after consulting independent Porsche specialists after first buying, but my asking price reflects the fact a new owner might wish to have this done. Happy to answer any questions, or for the car to be independently verified by a specialist. I bought this car having always wanted to own a true 'driver's car'. The 911 appealed to me as it had 4 seats and 2 young children could easily fit in the back for family drives out. The 996 model appealed being the cheapest entry point and personally, I think the car looks great. There will always be an independent Porsche specialist fairly local and this means you can keep on top of maintenance and generally speaking the cost is very reasonable. The car was set-up to feel like new by the magicians at Centre Gravity and now driving this car through the B roads of the UK is thrilling, but predictable.
'Experts' will constantly tell you this car is on the verge of appreciating but personally I think you buy these cars to drive them, and that is where the true joy in car ownership lies.
