Description
Hello and welcome to the sale of my British Racing Green MGC Roadster 1969, chrome wire wheels and overdrive. Restoration just completed and only 330 miles since.
Virtually everything is new or reconditioned to better than factory standard . Engine bay is all detailed to better than new. The finish is outstanding.
This is an interesting car repatriated from the USA that had been unused and under going restoration for over 20 years so is remarkably dry. Converted to RHD with all new parts. It retains its original sills and castle rails. Only welding was replacement front floors which was a marginal decision. Consequently the panel fit is excellent as it left the factory.
Highlights of the restoration include:
* Overhauled engine with lightened and balanced flywheel.
* O/ D Gearbox rebuilt. Hardly anything need replacement.
* All new wiring looms(Essential on a 54 year old car).
* Windscreen restored, reanodised with new glass and seals.
* New chrome wire wheels (5) and tyres.
* All new braking with correct Girling MarkII B Servo.
* New petrol system, copper lines, Hardi Pump(tank original rust free)
* Dash reconditioned oven baked.
* Reconditioned instruments/ switches.
* Recon rack, recon column.
* Immaculate professional repaint.
* All new leather interior/ moulded carpets.
* New packaway hood and frame.
* MOT to September2024.
This is a rare opportunity to but one of the best MGC's on the market at this time in one of the most iconic colours of British Racing Green. Looking forward to hearing from you. What attracted me to this MGC was that it was virtually 'bone dry ' and factory original. The colour is one of the nicest so that probably clinched it for me.
