1973 240Z LHD paint 918 Orange Restored to the highest standard of workmanship.
The journey began with a complete car being sourced rust free and accident free from the USA. The goal was to restore the car back to original as she would have left the factory and sat in the showroom.
The restoration began with careful disassembly and logging of all the parts that could be overhauled and all the parts that had to be purchased new. The re building process began with the shell and all the panels taken to bare metal and any rust areas removed and replaced with the correct gauge metal. This was start of a huge time consuming effort by experts not to mention a no budget affair with a goal to restore a perfect Datsun 240Z.
Involving the restoration of the shell, panels all ancillaries, all suspension, brakes, wiring loom, interior etc. All nuts and bolts cadneum plated. The shell and panels dipped to ensure all the unseen cavities would be coated to avoid future rusting, prior to body work taking shape by expert hands and the shell and panels painted to a flawless 918 Datsun 240Z colour.
All the mechanicals engine, gearbox and diff stripped and overhauled than carefully put together by professionals and documented. All perishable rubbers replaced brand new. The interior re trimmed in black, back to original with new carpets all round and the original radio with the addition of Bluetooth. The re chroming of all the existing chrome and replacing new bumpers as per originals. Original wheels and wheel caps restored fitted with new period tyres. All the glass and windscreen is original Datsun factory glass. The lights have been fully refurbished with new front lamps.
The Datsun engine has been run in and the car tested on the road to make sure she drives as well as she looks. Since being restored the car has covered no more than 200 miles. The car looks and drives as a Datsun 240Z should and would have new from the dealership. The restoration process is recorded and photographed which will be presented to the new owner along with the original manuals and history that came with the car. A lot of time, effort and cost goes into a a full nut and bolt restoration, this is evident in the end result of our Datsun 240Z. We can ship worldwide.
