Excellent early VR6 in stunning Aqua blue, manual, low owners and one of the most comprehensive service history files I’ve seen.
A one lady owner car until 2015 spending its first 23 years in London while being maintained with no expense spared by VW and specialists, thousands upon thousands in Invoices. Then purchased by Jim Reid of Jim Reid vehicle sales in Aberdeen, where it was kept in his personal collection going to shows and displayed in the showroom for 4 years, at this time fitted with BBS style wheels and lowered suspension before passing to its next mature owner who used the car regularly adding nearly 40k miles between 2019 and 2023. Showing 6 owners total, in reality it's 3 private owners, previous owner had it first registered in his name then another and back in into his name again (all documented) and now on 135k miles.
It’s had the common small rust repairs professionally carried out on the outer sills and refinished, the underside presents very well being a South of England car and then in a collection it’s avoided the worst of the Scottish elements over the years.
Looking through the history file, it’s had the main VR6 issues addressed inc timing chains and head gasket. All handbooks present, with spare keys, alarm fobs, old mots, tax discs and more Invoices than you could shake a stick at.
Working electric sunroof, just had a new seal fitted and the rear spoiler works as it should raising and lowering at the correct speed. The cloth Interior is all original and very tidy with no excessive wear, black carpets all in excellent condition. Upgrade alarm, immobiliser and remote central locking fitted.
Bodywork is very good and straight, no visible lacquer peel or rust issues. Always attracts attention and compliments, you could happily cruise into a show with it.
It drives and performs very well and sounds superb, clutch and gearbox are light and precise. If you’re not familiar with a VR6 Corrado these really are underrated and currently undervalued, check out the reviews from Autocar. Just had a mid service, oil & filter, plugs and leads, air filter.
Scotland LEZ compliant, now at 31 years old it is sold as is with current MOT valid until Feb 2024 and any inspection welcomed. Priced sensibly, an investible fast classic that is infinitely better and cheaper than a lot of its competition.
