1953 Morris Minor Genuine Tourer early series 2 803cc cheese grater. I have owned this car for 25+ years it is a well known car on the club scene. It was restored 25+ years ago and has been a show car ever since. It has won many awards and medals in the early 2000s ( pictured will come with the sale) The Morris is still in very good condition Paintwork is very good but not concourse again the underside is solid but not concourse. the trim, carpets fitted mats and hood are all very good as is all the chrome. The engine and gearbox have been fully rebuilt with an unleaded head and still shows great oil pressure and for an 803cc pulls well. Morris has a stainless steel exhaust fitted recent brake overhaul and has all the early correct features making the car very original to look at and drive and gives the whole early 1950s driving experience ( the part I personally enjoy ).
The Morris used to belong to TV and radios Ted Moult ( his autobiography is with the car ) it has the lovely early waterfall dashboard and it also has the very rare smiths glove box clock as pictured (we also have the badge still). We have lots of original service books, handbooks and paperwork with the car including a folder of receipts and whatever the Morris has needed it has had over the 25 years we have been running it. The Morris has been my pride and joy for 25+ years of ownership but we are using it less and less due to other commitments so with a heavy heart I am putting it up for sale. We used to show it most weekends it was part of our family social life and it has won loads of awards at the National rallies and other shows and events and still turns heads wherever we take it. We took it to the Cotswolds 2 weeks ago on a road trip as it had been sat not used again and we made an effort to get out in it and it has no faults and is still a pleasure to drive. It was this trip that made me think that I would like the car to go to an enthusiast who will enjoy the car put the time in to bring it back up to spec again and show it and drive it regularly like we once did.
