No "Best Price" now please, it's as low as it's going.

Originally built in Japan in 1969, packed into crates and shipped over to South Africa in 1970 where it was reassembled.
Imported into the Republic of Ireland in 2017 by the previous owner who spotted it in a SA Toyota dealership.
7R - RT41 1600 OHC engine in excellent running order
Log book with the car
Immobilizer
Resprayed in the original colour in South Africa and showing bubbling on the drivers side panels
The roof was resprayed white by a main Toyota dealership in Ireland in 2020
Gears all work well
Clutch is smooth
Brakes are excellent with the addition of a servo
The underneath is in excellent shape being spared the wet, salty UK conditions.
Kept in a garage
Tyres workable but could be replaced. They are a standard size so easily available
Automatic choke works well
There are signs of bubbling forming at the bottom of the door edges, roof and wheel arches.
There is one bit of welding on the passenger side jackinbg point
The window seals are in OK condition and new seals are in the boot
New track rod ends
gearbox oil changed
Spare wheel
Sill near front passenger side a bit bent when the jacking point was missed
Front seat belts
Mileage counter reads 49999 but it's stuck at that so don't know the actual mileage!
New engine mounts fitted recently
Fully serviced
Bit of historic filler here and there.
The interior is complete but the seats has stitching fraying and a couple of small cracks. The reare seat top has a cover on it as the sun has cracked it.
The steering can be a bit wayward. There are no real signs of bushes being worn though so it could be tracking needing adjusting
The sun has also distorted and cracked the dashboard top and edges
Headlining in OK condition with inner light working
The inner wings have areas cut out of them. I suspect this was to do roadside repairs in SA, they will need repairing if driving in wet conditions
Wipers and washers work well
There is no heater. This was a factory option as it wasn't deemed necessary in the SA heat
Door cards complete but need a bit of a securing
The number plate light needs a new cover as it's made of foil
The drivers seat needs a bit of manipulating as it sits back a bit
I've reduced the car by a few pounds to reflect the last bits I've found.

Overall this is a very responsive and usable classic which keeps up with modern traffic (around town!)
There is work to do on the car such as the paint bubbling and a bit of fabrication in the engine bay but it can be used as is in the summer.

The car is registered in the Republic of Ireland
It can be registered in the UK with a VOSA application
It is located in Derry Northern Ireland
Vehicle History

You just have to love Toyota's reliability. It was present as way back as the 1970's with this model. This is a classic car that starts and drives without any fuss. It's ideal for someone who likes to attend shows as it's a real talking point and attention grabber. It could be used as a promotional vehicle for a small business. It does need a bit of improvement to keep it fresh. There is no history on the car from South Africa but all duties were paid in 2017 when the Irish logbook was obtained. The rear brakes were redone with new pads/ cylinders in 2020 along with a new handbrake.
