The time has come to part with one of our vehicles from our ever growing Toyota collection. We purchased this vehicle with the aim to recommission it and use it on sunny days. A lot of work has been carried out whilst in our ownership over the past couple years, however due to other commitments and projects it has only covered a few hundred miles since passing its first MOT in years. We feel that this car should be enjoyed by someone who will be able to use it more often then we currently do so.
As part of the recommissioning the vehicle drivetrain has had a major service, with replacement Timing Belt, Water Pump, Thermostat, Alternator, various ignition components and much more. Furthermore, the steering has been serviced with new inner and outer track-rod ends with gaiters. The exterior of the car has had reproduction front valences, as the 35+ year old OEM ones are notorious to corrode. New stickers and badges have been installed, along with a reconditioning of the OEM 14" wheels, to give a more complete look.
Despite the age of the car, the interior is very clean with little marks/ scratches which can be seen in the images. The only modification on the car is an aftermarket but fairly period correct radio with AUX and CD player to make journeys that little bit more fun! ;)
The exterior paintwork is clean with the odd small chip, however there are only a couple of minor dents as expected for a car that has not had a full nut & bolt restoration.
We will be sad to see this unique car go but cars are meant for driving, so we hope the next owner will be able to make the most of it and enjoy it! We welcome any questions that you may have as well as viewings.

Thanks for reading. We purchased this AW11 in January 2022 mostly due to being a complete and untouched crossover variant.
It comes with the earlier Type MK1-A MR2 interior and airbox in the engine bay allowing for more boot space but therefore has side skirts and a boot spoiler like the later 1986 facelift.
Due to the age of the vehicle much of the history is lost, it appears that the car has been involved in a minor accident in the 90's, however no structural damage was suffered and the damage was purely cosmetic on the front bumper. Unfortunately due to the high cost of OEM parts at the time, it was unfeasible to repair the vehicle and was written off. The owner at the time did not want to part with it and therefore the car was dry stored for decades, since around 1997, hence the unmolested overall condition.
Since then a new undamaged bumper has been fitted. With the age of the car and after years in storage, the paint had the usual scratches and marks, but it has been repainted at some stage.
