Here I am offering my highly original unmodified rust free clean example of Toyota's MR2 first generation W10 1. 6L twin cam iconic mid-engine sports car.
MECHANICALL
She is mechanically in excellent condition, she drives extremity well with no problems with the running gear, all the electrics work as they should.
BODYWORK
The exterior bodywork is in very good condition with no rust and no rust in the rear boot area or front boot, there are some age related marks, bear in mind the car is coming up to 36 years old, she had paint work and new front wings in 2001-2002 not a complete respray, there are some micro blistering but not that noticeable unless up very close, there is no rust, had little to no use between 2006 and 2012 whilst still in the ownership of the long term 3rd owner and then again between 2013 and 2023 little to no use again whilst in the ownership of the 3rd long term owner, the car was kept in a good environment when not in use and well cared for, a truly unmolested and cared for MR2.
INTERIOR
The interior is in above average excellent condition, she has no rips or tears or stains on the seats, carpets or headlining , all the dials and switches are all in excellent condition including all the trim, the rear boot carpet and front boot again are in excellent condition with no rips or marks. 117, 784 MilesI purchased this MR2 as I have had a few along the years and this particular car stood out and shined to me as it is very original and quiet clearly has been very well looked after and cherished by the long term owner between 1995 and 2023, and still shows it today the car is honest with some minor imperfections,
If you are a golfing person believe it or not you can get a set of golf clubs in the rear boot.
The interior is in above average condition, and this car is an excellent example of a great driving car with all the frill of feeling the road and being a drivers car of old school, these MR2's are a reminder of how a sports car should drive, they got it right back in the 1980's, it took a decade of design before these fantastic cars eventually hit the market, this car drives as it should and still has plenty of go and miles left in her, the engine sounds as would have back in the day and the gearbox is smooth changing with no problems of jumping out of gear which was a common fault on them, the clutch is spot on and suspension and steering are as they should be, brakes well, oil pressure is good, I shall have her checked over before she is sold to the next owner, and I still have my 1988 one that I purchased back in 1992, along with another early Toyota, my 1988 needs work and I couldn't stop myself from purchasing this genuine honest little gem as she drives so well and has no hidden rust under the paintwork carried out in 2001-2002, the new wings where original Toyota parts, I had all intentions of using the car throughout the summer of 2025 and keeping her, but unfortunately I have been unable time wise as my other half was diagnosed with life threatening cancer late last year, and I have been for the last 12 months backwards and forwards to hospitals and doctors and it is still ongoing, and taking care of her, hence I decided to sell this lovely MR2, I am in no rush to sell her, this is the honest truth why I am selling, and hopefully someone else will get a lot of enjoyment and fun out of her for many more years to come.
