Subject to an extensive Mechanical rebuild 1500 miles ago this car drive superbly, with strong oil pressure, good engine temperature and precise handling; but also has a body and interior in great condition.
The engine received a full rebuild, including new pistons, a fast road cam, new cam followers and new double valve springs; full gasket set, timing chain tensioner etc. The original twin SU carbs were rebuilt and a new heat plate fitted; the radiator was refurbished; a new clutch friction plate and a gearbox mounting replaced. The front suspension was totally re-bushed and the steering rack maintained; the rear shocks refurbished and some brake piping replaced. A very complete and comprehensive listing of the details of this extensive rebuild is documented on the invoices and will be provided with the car (it is stored onto a memory stick).
The interior carpets and seats are in excellent condition, no tears, wear patches damaged stitching. Although the seats are not leather they are in as new condition as are the carpets.
The underbody is totally sound along with door pillars etc. The paint is very good with no rust issues - it is not concurs but there are no areas of concern and it would be an easy task to take it to the final level.
The Car sports an original (fitted in period I believe) wood rimmed 'Les Leston' steering wheel.
This is an early MGBGT and in unspoilt original condition. A practical, good looking car ready to use and enjoy without needing any work.
It is an absolute joy to drive and is a usable daily classic car easily holding a full supermarket shop or a trip out that has the room to take your dog.
