This Ford Capri 2. 0gi pinto is 46 years old, 70, 000 miles on the clock and described on the log book as Red, with brown interior.
The car body work could be described as excellent condition, with the odd scratch here and there, but nothing that stands out. It goes without saying that work has been done over the years to keep the body work in the condition it is today. When I purchased the car there had been time and money was spent on the front end, I have since invested on the rear end. One piece of work that would complete the full body restoration is the rear hatch, which is showing some slight rusting, but could be an easy fix or replacement.
The engine bay does need some work to tidy it up, mechanically it runs fine, but I’m sure any mechanic would give the engine a good overall. The starter motor is new, as is the battery, including new thermostat. The break slave cylinder has also been renewed.
Bought this Ford Capri around five years ago, as a change to a classic Mini, I had owned for a number of years. I am the third owner.
As an iconic car it’s obviously head turner and very much a topic of conversation/ interest with the general public.
This car has been used for music videos and weddings, for particularly portraying that 70s image.
I feel that the time has come for someone else to enjoy this car, as I myself have become so busy with other commitments and can no longer invest the time it requires.
As we look forward to spring and summer, this is an ideal time to purchase a piece of British motoring history.
