The full restoration undertaken included:
Fully restored bare metal in and out respray, painted in VW Pearl White (Lower) and VW Pastel White (Upper) with anti-rust primer
Internally injected with rust preventer
Chassis stripped and painted in VW Pearl White
Bumpers, wheels, indicators and steering wheel painted white
All new door, window and engine bay seals
New larger rear wheels, sand blasted original front wheels and new tyres all round
Gearbox serviced and painted
Reconditioned engine featuring new 1641 piston/ barrels, new twin 34 carbs and too many other bits to list!
Straight axle conversion (smoother ride and better MPG)
Adjustable suspension
All cables, axle bearings and seals replaced
Rebuilt braking system with new master cylinder, brake lines, hoses, rear plates, front and back cylinders and shoes
Spindles and link pins rebuilt by a specialist
All new upholstery in Tan coloured fabric with cream piping
Custom built interior in Hacienda White wood with lots of storage featuring overhead cupboard and built in wine rack
Bluetooth Radio and 6 X 9" rear speakers

Coming from a favourable climate the condition was much better than you would generally see, without any previous repairs at all! It is completely original and highly rare.
It is an early ‘splitty’, featuring bullet-type indicators and has a 3 seat full bench in the front. It drives beautifully with easy gear changes and pulls really well.
