The car runs and drives spot on and accelerates really well in fact is very nimble and even suprises many modern cars.
It is very well specced and everything works as it should. More importantly it doesn't have rust like most UK cars.
The car runs and drives well starts stops as it should. no overheating just get in and drive. For sale I have the iconic R129 generation Mercedes 500 sl supplied by yanase japan , which has been in my ownership since 2020.
The car has been always been garaged and used in fair weather only.
I am looking to trim down my current mercedes collection hence this well maintained 500sl amg is up for sale .
Those that know me are well aware that I don't cut corners on the up keep of my cars.
This car is no different and has been very well maintained with the most common r129 issues addressed.
with that in mind I am happy to keep the car If I don't get near to the asking price im after.
The R129 SL values have started to climb in recent years. A V8 powered R129 is a supremely nice way to make rapid, relaxed progress coupled with amg enhancements. The 500sl model offers a thumping 5. 0-litre V8 which packed 322bhp and offered a 0-62mph time of 6. 4sec, enabling it to go toe to toe with the Ferrari 328 GTS.
Its becoming increasingly difficult to find an amg 500 sl or even trying to create one with genuine parts as the prices for rare r129 amg parts are sky high thats if you can find them.
take in consideration the cost of oz amg splits without tyres alone!!
