Description
ROVER P5 3-LITRE AUTOMATIC 1966 power steering
This car belonged to my recently deceased father and is being sold by my sister, the executor to his estate.
My father purchased the car in 2017 after suffering a stroke, as he could then only drive an automatic car. He was meticulous in its upkeep, and cherished it.
Due to more ill health the car has been layed up for the last 2 years and the last MOT was 2020 but has had some light recommissioning and is running well. The brakes were overhauled
soon after dad bought the car and are still good, as are the tyres and suspension.
The car featured in 'classic car buyer' in 2011.... see the picture of the article in photos.... the car has only covered approx 1500 miles since the article was was printed.
See also the advert picture that my father bought the car through in 2017 giving some more important detail.
The original workshop manual and service book are still with the car. It appears the service history is comprehensive, as is its detailed owner history which we have a copy of.
It appears from the history the car has been repainted at some point, the general condition is very good with no rust or damage apparent apart from a small amount of paint cracking on the boot (see pictures)
Underneath, the car is sound with no corrosion.
The engine bay is original with no electronic ignition or modern upgrades.
The interior is original and good condition, showing expected patina.
I ticked the box as NO, asking if there has ever been any major structural issues needing work.... the truth is i dont know for sure, but very much doubt it, looking at the vehicle condition.
Viewings welcome.
