Selling my Vintage Sand Shark SWB Buggy
It is an American import; from some research it appears to be a 1964 Chassis converted to a buggy in 1968. It has a WISCONSIN ID 2205 WIS and a plate code 6158726 as well as the red SS 757 Sand Shark plate 1210. All shown in the photos It was imported to the UK and first registered in 1971 as a Volkswagen Convertible and is now a historic vehicle due to its age. It is currently has original deluxe plastic bucket seats, all clocks in dash are original as is the steering wheel and rear bench seat and it’s still running a dynamo and runs on leaded or replacement leaded petrol for the purists. Only thing I have changed is the gear stick knob, seatbelts and electronic ignition. I have also purchased a Bikini Faring in the last year which is easily put on with clips and press buttons.
From the photos and video, it is running you will see there is some revitalisation needed. The main thing I have noticed is the floor pan on the driver’s side does need replacing soon, due to rust. Throwing in a Dune Buggy book for free for the successful purchaser.
