1976 custom-built Meyers Manx dune buggy, finished in Leaf Green metallic with Ferrari 'Daytona-style' caramel seats.
This buggy has recently undergone a complete ground-up rebuild by the renowned experts at Type 2 Detectives, with an investment of around £35, 000 into the project. Everything is new - from the chassis and body to every component. Built off the owner’s 1976 Beetle, which they purchased in 1999.
The only original parts retained are the upgraded engine and gearbox, which had already been fully restored and improved in 2006; with it changed over for a 1641cc block for vastly improved performance. it also features Weber carbs, an EMPi Baja exhaust system, RS rear suspension and a balljoint front end.
This buggy captures the spirit of classic beach cruisers with a modern twist, offering both nostalgic charm and updated engineering. It’s an absolute head-turner and perfect for someone looking to enjoy open-air driving with timeless style.
