Beschreibung
I have owned this car since late 2018 and have used her in many MSA club events and track days since.
She was originally built by the previous owner a retired time serverd BMC mechanic in Scotland for his own competition use.
Being reshelled at that time into a mk4 shell, using many new parts such as:
New replacement subframes and components.
All suspension, steering and braking systems also renewed and a centre exit single box exhaust with skids was added, an electric fuel pump being installed in the boot area with cut off switch in the cockpit.
She has a quality sump gard along with full roll cage and comfortable bucket seats with three point harness belts fitted, both front and rear baulkheads have been fireproofed.
Lines and battery cable moved into the cockpit during the works.
This car is registered as a 1968 Mini 1275 saloon finished in electric blue with a white roof.
This is a truly solid car and doesn't require any substantial body repairs to its structure, evidence of high quality replacement of part of the boot floor along with outer and inner sill replacement having been carried out all major subframe mounting area's are equally sound and uncompromised.
The overall appearance of the paint work is pleasing and original, save for a small area on the passenger side, she does carry the odd scratch and marks from competion as is to be expected of a competing vehicle, but overall she looks very good to the eye and gets plenty of attention from onlookers when parked up!
She has always been garaged by myself and the previous owner, which has helped preserve much of the work thats has been done.
She's at present powered by a fully rebuilt +40 998 engine which has undergone some tuning such as lighting and balancing the gearbox is sweet and without fault the clutch assembly is equally without wear and no oil leaks are visible from the engine/ gearbox unit or drive train.
This engine unit has completed less than 5, 000 miles since build so is in excellent order, oil pressure is constantly high and the engine sounds sweet and distinctive in use!
The original 1293 engine is also included in the sale but will require rebuild should you choose to use.
She has two different sets of road wheels with good quality tyres which have an abundance of tread depth remaining.
Everything is in working order apart from the speedometer but a GPS speedo has been fitted in replacement and works far more efficiently than the original.
