1979 Lola T492 Sports 2000 Pinto
Owned for the last 6 years and lots of time and money spent on making this a front running Historic Pinto car. The T492 is a fantastic looking car and always sought after with it's classic looks.
This car is a regular top 3 finisher with various in-keeping additions. A great car to drive whether novice or experienced and currently running in the brilliant Sports 2000 series which is great value racing in the UK. Fitted with Facet fuel lift pump with 1 litre swirl pot, fuel tank capacity over 45 litres, bespoke made anti-roll bars, additional brake cooling front and rear, adjustable seat and 2 part foam seat set included. Harness valid to end of 2026, new Lifeline extinguisher system fitted last year plus new starter motor, brake/ clutch reservoirs and battery recently fitted.
New very strong Damico engine (only 5 events old) and a trouble free Hewland Mk8 gearbox rebuilt by JPR.
Spares include:
- 6 Rims: Full set of wets and 2 spare slicks, all with good tyres
- Front and rear wishbones and rose joints
- Front and rear anti-roll bars (soft), new brake pads
- Spare nose bodywork
- Wheel bearings, luminition, coil, springs, front splitter
