Welcome to the sale of my Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 camper with Crafter 4Motion Achleitner facelift conversion
We have owned the camper for almost a year, taking it on trips through Scotland and Ireland. During this time it has been 100% reliable and a pleasure to own and drive.
It has a VW Crafter 4Motion Achleitner 4WD conversion which involved changing the Sprinter wings, lights, grill, etc to the Crafter versions. The Sprinter and Crafter are both based on the same van so this was a relatively simple conversion that was carried out for the aesthetics as the previous owner was a big VW fan who attended shows (the van won trophies/ awards at VW and overland shows). The Crafter 4Motion Achleitner was a rare van which I believe was never officially imported into the UK so this van is unusual to see on UK roads and is a great alternative to a syncro, perfect for off-road/ overland adventures.
It has a sleeping capacity of 4 and seats 4, double fixed bed in the rear with side sleeping pods for extra room to sleep across the width of the van (I am 6'3"), + custom fitted pop-top roof on gas struts and colour coded paint to match the van.
Large garage underneath the bed for storage of camping equipment, bikes, water tank etc.
Has a gross vehicle weight of 3500kg so can be driven on a normal car licence and medium wheelbase so fits into a normal car parking space.
Engine is the 3. 0L Mercedes V6 Turbo Diesel that has been remapped and a few subtle modifications to increase power and torque. Was serviced when we first got it. Starts first time and runs great. 6 speed manual gearbox. Lots of torque and power.
Body work is in excellent condition for the age. It has had a professional respray in Audi Daytona Grey. Underside is in excellent condition also. Recent MOT and only advisory was for a Track Rod End having a small amount of play, I have the new part there ready to be fitted. Underside has been undersealed. Has had two small patches welded in the past.
Seating layout is two front recaro seats that have been retrimmed in Harris Tweed and leather. Passenger seat has a swivel base which allows it to be turned round to face a centre removable table.
Rear seats are two minibus seats with fitted belts. They have folding bases and are on Unwin quick release runners so they can be removed easily. The previous layout was a single folding and removable Transit Custom seat which can be re-installed instead if preferred.

Shower and toilet unit. Not connected but everything is there. We stayed on campsites so everything is new and unused.
75L water tank and pump.
12v solar system, 125ah split-charge battery with Victron MPPT 300w Solar. Bluetooth connected using Victron app.
