BMW R65/ 7 in Cafe Racer trim. Historic vehicle so no TAX / MOT.
It has come time to sell, I have owned this bike for over 7 years now, and at 66 years young, I am finding it too heavy to move around.
The bike has a fully powder-coated frame, Polished alloy tank and seat unit, heat-resistant coated exhaust, and Electronic ignition. It has been rewired with a Motogadget M unit and a modern Regulator / Rectifier. It has had a full top-end overhaul with the barrels aqua blasted and honed, new piston rings, and new hardened valve seats for use with E10 petrol. It's had new Steering and wheel bearings, rear shocks, headlight, and taillights.
The bike has sat in my garage for the last 2 years, patiently waiting for me to decide what to do with it so I am in no rush to sell.
The bad bits :-
It will need a new battery, I charged it up to start it up and it started with no problem but the battery is not holding a charge. ( I can send a video of the bike running if wanted)
The speedo does not work, BMW has a different Speedo drive ratio to other bikes and the Speedo on the bike is just a generic one, it's not bothered me but if I were keeping it I think I would be looking at a GPS one,
