Description

1971 Morris Minor Traveller 1098. Car imported from the UK prior to restoration. All restoration work carried out in Valencia by the present owner, a very competent and capable mechanic with many year's experience. Professionally converted to LHD and now registered as a Spanish historic vehicle (a very lengthy and extremely expensive process). This is a complete and very well executed restoration, it must be one of the best around and has done virtually no mileage since completion. All metalwork replaced as necessary, new wooden frames installed, all mechanical components overhauled, engine, gearbox, brakes and suspension, new interior, new tyres, repainted in British Racing Green, it wants for nothing and is nothing short of spectacular.
The car is near Valencia but please get in touch with me in the first instance, especially if you do not speak Spanish.
Please remember , if your intention is to keep the car in Spain, you will need a Spanish NIE or NIF to enable the car to be transferred in your name. However export enquiries are most welcome, I have good transportation contacts throughout Europe.
Please note the photographs were taken prior to the change to Spanish registration
I have reduced the price again, it now equates to less than 18, 000 pounds at current exchange rates, I think it would be impossible to begin to restore such a vehicle for that price and with the matriculation issued resolved it is ideal for someone with a permanent or second home in the Spanish peninsular.
Just a note on Spanish matriculation in case you do not know or understand it. Whilst there exists an agreement to move vehicles freely from one European Union country to the other, in Spain you have to pay a matriculation tax, about 14% of the car's value, plus all your administration costs and time as well. Whilst that is bad enough , if you were thinking about importing a car from the UK, in addition you would have to pay VAT and car tax as well, so probably an additonal 45 to 50% of the car's value!! So it really makes sense to buy something that has already been done.
