Description
LOTUS ESPRIT S4 GT COMMEMORATIVE EDITION 1995
This is car 7 of 11 made to commemorate the BRDC 1994 British National Sports GT Challenge series win. It was manufactured November 1994 and first registered Feb 1995.
It's livery is a tribute to the Lotus racing heritage colours and sports a vibrant Lotus Racing Metallic Green coachwork, Hethel Yellow wheels, red steering wheel and full Raven Grey leather interior, including it's original Sport 300 style competition seats. Paint was ceramic coated 3 years ago.
The car has electric windows and mirrors, air conditioning, the original Clarion radio / cassette and Clarion CD changer. Has a removable sunroof with the original leather cover to stow roof whilst driving.
The car has a comprehensive service history and under my 11 year ownership has been meticulously maintained by South West Lotus Centre. Work completed includes:
- Both steel fuel tanks replaced with new aluminium tanks (2019)
- New Clutch (1400 miles ago)
- New Goodyear Eagle F1 Tyres (1400 miles ago)
- Cambelt & auxiliary belts (400 miles ago)
- Lotus service 400 miles ago
- Coolant converted to Evans Waterless Coolant
- Air Con converted to take R134a gas
- Last MOT Feb 2024, no issues
The vehicle is totally original throughout as it left the factory, except for a Quicksilver Stainless exhaust which gives the engine a lovely throaty sound whilst not being overbearing. Everything works as it should and the car runs extremely well. Overall condition is very good for a car that's now 30 years old and been driven. Interior is very good, paint has a couple small bits of lacquer blemish and a few small micro bubbles on roof area. The car is really nice example of a very usable classic with styling that still fits in with many of today's supercars.
I've also added a few scenic shots of the car to show how the paint changes and the metallic comes to the fore with the light.
Comes with the Lotus Certificate of Provenance, Lotus Workshop Manual, Owners Handbook, service history records and paperwork. Also included a lotus indoor car cover.
Registration plate M7 LTD, this is unique to the vehicle M (1994), 7 (car 7), LTD (limited edition) - and stays with the car.
I absolutely adore the car's looks and performance but the sole reason for sale is I purchased the Lotus Emira and simply won't be getting the use from the Esprit going forward, and it really deserves to be used.
