I have owned the car since 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. However with a few other classics, including 2 TRs, in the garage I have decided (am told!) I should start to reduce the numbers.
This car is in the very attractive original colour of Poseidon Green with non-check tan interior and high class matching green hood and hood cover both in mohair type material.
The conversion is believed to have been carried out in the mid / late 1990’s using many parts from S&S Preps and completed to a very good standard.
The car is badged as a V8 but correctly registered as a TR7 V8. It is recorded as a Historic Vehicle and hence tax exempt. Throughout my ownership I have had the car MOT tested with the current test expiring in July 2024.
I believe this car to be one of the better cars of its type about and tastefully executed. In summary the spec is:-
3. 5 Lt Rover SD1 Engine with Mallory Distributor and Holley Carb
LT77 5 speed gearbox plus 3. 08 Differential
Slightly lowered and uprated springs with Spax adjustables all round. Anti Dive kit. Polybushed.
Larger Ford front brakes and SD1 servo.
Kenlowe Electical Fan.
MotoLita steering wheel.

Aero Roll Over Bar (unused!)
Very high quality Panasport 15 inch wheels with Yokohama tyres – including spare.
In my ownership the focus has been recommissioning it after several years of previous hibernation and creating reliability. This has included new gearbox mounts, replacement water pump and alternator plus fitting a manual choke conversion and Facet fuel pump/ regulator. Much Waxoyl also added to the chassis.
